Live your best life with Merz Aesthetics. A Brief Overview We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Summer Intern to join our Medical Device R&D team. The intern will support design and development activities, contribute to prototype build and evaluation, perform electrical and functional testing, and document results in clear technical reports. This role offers hands-on experience in medical device development within a collaborative, regulated R&D environment. Duties and Responsibilities • Assist with electrical design activities, including schematics, component selection, and design updates. • Support development and assembly of prototype medical device hardware. • Perform electrical, functional, and performance testing of prototype designs. • Set up and operate test equipment; collect and analyze test data. • Document test methods, results, and conclusions in technical reports. • Troubleshoot and help resolve design or test issues under engineer guidance. • Maintain organized design files, test records, and documentation. • Collaborate with cross-functional R&D team members (mechanical, software, quality). • Follow applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements during development and testing. Minimum Requirements • Basic knowledge of electrical design principles and familiarity with schematic capture tools or circuit simulation software (from classes or projects). • Hands-on experience through labs or projects in building and testing electrical systems, with the ability to document results clearly. Education Minimum Requirements: • Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior at an accredited college or university. • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. Preferred Requirements: • Pursuing a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering. Additional Information Program Length: • 11-week program (Projected Dates: June 1, 2026 – August 13, 2026) Location: • Raleigh, NC • Weekly Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote
