The Senior Analyst (Collections Strategy & Analytics) is a vital position, specifically driving initiatives focused on improving return on investment through dialing and digital strategies and payment programs. This role leverages advanced quantitative methods to assess the effectiveness of current loss mitigation strategies and support the development of new initiatives. It involves close collaboration with operations to optimize Collections programs, manage reporting, and enhance dialing, digital, and payment strategies. Additionally, the role oversees compliance with audit and regulatory standards, while documenting and improving key processes and performance metrics within the collections function. Essential Functions: • Applies advanced quantitative techniques to assess the effectiveness of current loss mitigation strategies, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting implementation of new initiatives that drive recovery performance and operational efficiency. • Collaborates closely with key functional areas, especially operations, to design, enhance, and optimize Collections programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer treatment strategies. • Leads the execution of key operational priorities, including: • Monitoring and refining dialing and digital strategies and payment programs • Developing, maintaining, and analyzing Collections reporting to evaluate program performance, support strategic planning, and drive continuous improvement. • Creates and manages reporting infrastructure to track performance across Collections, ensuring visibility into key metrics, trends, and areas for intervention • Maintains detailed and accurate documentation of Collections processes and procedures consistent with an audited environment, responsible for overseeing functional compliance with Bank policies, audit controls, and regulatory requirements. • Understands and documents the current state of the Collections business, including key metrics, workflows, and systems, with a focus on transparency, performance optimization, and cross-functional alignment. Compliance with Laws & Regulations : • Responsible for complying with all of the Bank’s internal control policies and procedures. • Responsible for understanding & complying with laws and regulations to which the Bank is subject. • Responsible for communicating problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, noncompliance with laws and regulations, policy violations, or illegal acts. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline such as, Math, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or Financial Engineering is required. • Master’s or advanced degree is preferred. • Three (3) years or more of risk analytics, statistics or equivalent experience in Credit Card Industry or Consumer Finance is required. The salary range for this position, if located in NY Metro/NY State is $109,718 - $121,909 annually. However, please note that the salary range will vary for other geographic areas.
