Meritus Texas, a leading supplier of full-range industrial gases, is seeking a Yard Operations Associate/Forklift Operator to join our team in Dallas, TX. This is a critical role responsible for the safe handling, storage, and movement of gas cylinders and welding materials in the outdoor yard area. Minimum requirements: • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified. • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.). • Strong attention to safety and detail. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Preferred qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Prior experience in a warehouse, industrial yard, or gas supply environment a plus. • Basic knowledge of gas cylinder types and welding products is helpful but not required—training provided. Key Responsibilities: • Load and unload gas cylinders, welding supplies, and materials from trucks and trailers using forklifts or other equipment. • Inspect, tag, and organize gas cylinders by size, content, and status (full, empty, etc.). • Assist drivers with loading orders and verifying accuracy against delivery paperwork. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard and loading area. • Follow all company safety procedures and DOT guidelines for handling compressed gases. • Perform basic maintenance and safety checks on yard equipment and storage areas. • Help with general warehouse duties as needed, including inventory, sweeping, and waste disposal. • Provide friendly and helpful service to customers and drivers on-site. • Communicate effectively with store staff regarding order statuses, inventory levels, and any operational concerns.
