Our client is a technology implementation company specializing in Network Structured Cabling, Fiber Optic Installation, and AV Presentation Systems. Successful Project Engineers will have experience in the low voltage information communications technology field. A strong background in construction management, cost estimation, and project engineering. The Project Engineer ensure seamless project progress from design through completion. The ideal candidate brings knowledge of commercial construction practices and an understanding of telecommunications infrastructure (structured cabling, fiber optics, wireless networks, etc.) • * Benefits include company-paid employee premiums for medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, plus industry training, paid vacations, paid holidays, 401K match, company apparel and a company car. ** Competitive Salary + Strong Bonus Potentials + Paid Benefits Responsibilities: • Uncover and develop bid opportunities through various channels and develop detailed material and labor estimates and proposal deliverables. • Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc., to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. • Finalize installation details with various customer types through an engineering product submittal process. • Review and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications related to commercial buildings and telecommunications systems. • Provide Project Management support to our Project Lead BICSI Certified Technicians by collaborating to develop accurate project timelines and resource allocations. • Assist with design-build solutions or value engineering when needed. • Provide technical support to field crews on installation methods, testing procedures, and materials. Qualifications: • Proven track record of successful cost estimation for large-scale projects. • Working knowledge of codes, standards and best practices in our industry. • Familiarity with commercial construction processes, safety standards (OSHA), and telecommunications systems (structured cabling, fiber optic, low-voltage). Must-haves (3-5 years): • Blueprint reading • Cost Estimation • Construction Planning & Management Nice-to-haves: • AutoCAD experience • Bluebeam experience • Familiarity with BICSI and telecommunications industry standards preferred.
