Role Description This role involves building products and platforms that redefine how companies implement processes and strategies to track, control, and optimize their spending. • Feel a strong sense of ownership - driving the product from early concepts to launch and beyond, while keeping the user experience front and center in every decision • Drive architectural decisions and define the technical direction, while fostering alignment across the team and mentoring engineers toward those goals • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create intuitive, lovable experiences • Build core functionality in Haskell, ensuring the product is performant, maintainable, and scalable • Mentor and support more junior engineers on the team, raising the bar for technical excellence Qualifications • 7-10+ years of software development experience, with a knowledge of or excitement to learn Haskell • Experience making architectural decisions and measuring the impact of those decisions over time • Passionately customer and product minded with experience building, shipping, and iterating on new products • Comfortable driving discussions in areas with ambiguous ownership, approaching them with empathy • Ridiculously helpful and willing to cross team boundaries to improve the product experience and reduce tech debt Benefits • Base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits • Highly competitive salary and equity ranges within the SaaS and fintech industry • New hire offers based on experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity Company Description Mercury is a financial technology company, not a bank.
