Job Title: Customer Programs Manager Company Overview: Merced Irrigation District is a community-focused utility provider dedicated to delivering reliable water and energy services to the Merced region. Role Overview: As the Customer Programs Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of public benefit programs, customer account management, and energy efficiency initiatives. Your role is pivotal in driving customer engagement and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs that support the district’s energy resource goals. What You'll Do: - You will develop and implement public benefit programs that align with organizational objectives. - You will manage customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and effective service delivery. - You will oversee energy efficiency programs aimed at reducing consumption and promoting sustainable practices. - You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance program effectiveness. - You will analyze program performance data to identify opportunities for improvement. - You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. - You will lead outreach and education efforts to increase customer participation. - You will prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. What You Bring: - You bring at least 5 years of experience in program management within the energy or utility sector. - You have strong knowledge of energy efficiency and public benefit programs. - You possess excellent project management and organizational skills. - You have effective communication and interpersonal abilities to engage diverse stakeholders. - You are proficient in data analysis and reporting tools. - You hold a relevant bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a public utility or municipal environment. - Familiarity with regulatory compliance and energy policy. - Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent). - Advanced skills in customer relationship management (CRM) software.
