Senior leadership experience in product management or related domains with strong strategic, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills, preferably with healthcare data knowledge.
Job Description: • Define and lead the long-term strategy for MarketScan, aligning portfolio priorities to corporate growth objectives and evolving market demand in life sciences, government, and academic research. • Identify and pursue new opportunities for MarketScan expansion, including new data assets, partnerships, and AI-enabled experiences that improve speed-to-insight and research usability. • Manage investment tradeoffs across data product innovation, and operational excellence to deliver against financial growth plans. • Own end-to-end portfolio leadership across MarketScan offerings (datasets, delivery modalities, and applications), including roadmap, lifecycle management, performance tracking, and product packaging strategy. • Drive “research-grade” data value through clear product definitions, data documentation expectations, and fit-for-purpose usability for diverse researcher personas (programmers, epidemiologists, HEOR leaders, etc.). • Partner with Data Operations, Data Governance, and Engineering to ensure quality, repeatability, and consistency in data pipelines and releases. • Advance MarketScan’s delivery experiences—supporting both file-based and cloud-enabled access models—and define product requirements to continuously improve customer onboarding, usability, and adoption. • Partner with Engineering to evolve the product delivery model with modern SDLC practices (automation, CI/CD enablement where applicable, quality improvements, operational resiliency). • Define where and how AI can create meaningful customer value across the MarketScan experience (e.g., discovery, documentation, study setup support, workflow acceleration)—with a focus on responsible, compliant, and practical adoption. • Provide strategic direction to marketing, sales, partnerships, and enablement teams—ensuring clear value narratives, differentiated positioning, and aligned packaging guidance for MarketScan. • Translate product strategy and performance into executive-ready updates, and drive decision-making across senior stakeholders. • Serve as a public-facing leader for MarketScan—engaging with strategic customers, partners, and industry forums to build trust, gather market intelligence, and shape the external point of view. • Build deep customer relationships to validate roadmap direction, accelerate adoption, and identify co-creation opportunities. • Build and lead a high-performing product organization; set clear goals, decision rights, and a coaching-oriented culture. • Establish a predictable operating cadence (OKRs/roadmap reviews/quarterly planning) that drives cross-functional alignment and on-time delivery. • Lead and develop a high-performing team of product managers and technologists (as applicable), fostering a culture of clarity, execution, accountability, and continuous learning. • Drive continued execution of AI maturity into core product practice. Requirements: • 10+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, data/analytics platforms, or adjacent domains, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles. • Expert understanding of market needs, client pain points, key use cases of real-world data, and growth opportunities. • Proven success leading complex product portfolios—ideally within real-world data, healthcare claims data, data platforms, analytics, or research solutions. • Strong understanding of healthcare data expectations and constraints (data quality, privacy, governance, de-identification principles, and operational controls). • Demonstrated ability to partner deeply with Engineering, Data Operations, and Governance teams to deliver scalable, reliable data products and customer experiences. • Track record of influencing cross-functional executive stakeholders and driving alignment across product, commercial, and operational priorities. • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills. • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MPH, PhD, or related advanced degree preferred. Benefits: • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401k retirement savings plan • Infertility benefits • Tuition reimbursement • Life insurance • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Paid leave benefits • Flexible vacation to help you rest, recharge, and connect with loved ones • Remote work flexibility
