Through mentorship, social-emotional learning, academic enrichment, creative expression, and community partnerships, MAP works to close opportunity gaps and create safe, consistent, and empowering spaces for young people to thrive.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Volunteer Blog Writer to craft engaging stories that bring MAP’s mission to life. In this role, you will help amplify youth voices, highlight community impact, and share the transformative work happening across our programs. This is an ideal opportunity for a writer passionate about equity, storytelling, and using their craft to inspire change.Key ResponsibilitiesWrite original blog posts that showcase MAP’s programs, events, and community impactInterview and highlight mentors, volunteers, and (when appropriate) youth and families with sensitivity and confidentialityCollaborate with the communications team to identify timely and meaningful content opportunitiesResearch and draft posts on topics related to education, mentorship, equity, and housing justiceEdit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with MAP’s voiceQualificationsStrong writing, editing, and storytelling skillsAbility to adapt tone for nonprofit, education, and community audiencesExcellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracyFamiliarity with blogging platforms (WordPress, Medium, or similar) preferredPassion for youth empowerment, education, and social impactCommitmentVolunteer role, approximately 5–10 hours per weekMinimum 6-month commitmentFully remote with flexible schedulingWhat You’ll GainA platform to share stories that drive awareness and inspire actionExperience in nonprofit communications and impact storytellingCollaboration with a passionate, mission-driven teamPublished writing for your professional portfolioLetters of recommendation and professional referencesHow to ApplyPlease send your resume, LinkedIn profile, and 1–2 writing samples to hr@mentorapromise.org along with a brief statement of interest. #J-18808-Ljbffr
