Family Support Specialist • BSW or BA in psychology, social work or related areas of study, with one year experience in the mental health field • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred • Knowledgeable in mental illness, symptomology and treatment modalities, and impact of substance abuse on course of mental illness • Positive regard for individuals challenged by mental illness • Ability to work flexible hours • Valid driver’s license required Work Responsibilities Include: • Adult psychoeducation • Teaching families strategies for coping with loved ones mental illness • Leading workshops on mental illness • Facilitate Family Support Groups • In home family consultation • In home / out of home respite visits • Engagement of consumer with socialization opportunities and activities • Attendance and participation in local, state and regional meetings • Serve as a family/consumer advocate in securing beneficial services and de-stigmatizing mental illness in the community Job Type: Full-time Projected Total Compensation: $44,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year Benefits: • 403(b) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
