Lead and develop the Account Management & Creative Services team, build partnership infrastructure, and execute strategic brand partnership initiatives across multiple platforms.
10+ years in account management, creative strategy or sales in sports/media, 5+ years managing cross-functional teams, strong collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills, with passion for soccer and media industry expertise.
Job Description: • Develop and lead the Account Management & Creative Services team through coaching, performance management, and talent development. • Build a robust internal partnerships infrastructure that will allow our partnership team to consistently and effectively, align our products with the market • Develop and lead our strategic brand partnership initiatives, providing creative direction that serves both Men in Blazers as well as our brand partners • Execute on partnerships across multiple platforms, including, audio, video, social, events and branded merchandise, etc. • Act as a MiB and client expert by developing a deep knowledge of our content & offerings, and each partner’s business serving as the company’s go-to resource on client needs. • Serve as a subject matter expert in market conditions and forecasts in the media, sports, and entertainment markets, translating these market conditions into specific action items and strategies for Men in Blazers • Drive partnership campaigns, in conjunction with our production, marketing, and social media teams, to deliver exceptional value to our brand partners • Provide a focus on analytics that will allow Men in Blazers to better understand what partnership approaches are more beneficial to the business • Continuously network in the sports digital media industry to foster future relationships and connections Requirements: • 10+ years of experience in account management, creative strategy and/or sales, preferably within the sports, media and/or entertainment industries • 5+ years of experience in managing a team that works cross functionally within the pre and post sales process. • Hands-on growth mindset, you don't just manage, you roll up your sleeves to dig in • Deep passion for the game of soccer, and an understanding of what types of products and services our community values and appreciates • Proven experience developing a media partnership infrastructure in a startup environment • In depth understanding of both the traditional and digital media buying landscapes. • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities. • Ability to think creatively to align Men in Blazers business goals with the goals of a potential brand partner • Expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and closing B2B partnerships • Proven track record of maintaining and utilizing long standing relationships in the sports media & entertainment industry • A collaborative and proactive mindset, best utilizing the diversity of skill sets available to complete tasks • Ability to work under pressure, with the foresight to predict and prepare for potential disruptions • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
