Through curriculum, community, and coaching, we equip rising wealth builders to create the financial future they deserve. As we grow, our initiatives are becoming more complex-spanning events, campaigns, new programs, cross-team launches, and multi-department efforts that require strategic coordination. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and systems-minded Project Manager who can both zoom out to architect a project from end-to-end, and zoom in to ensure every moving piece is executed with excellence. This is a brand-new role-you won't be stepping into an existing system. You'll help build the project management infrastructure that supports a fast-growing organization with multiple internal and external stakeholders, bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to company-wide initiatives. This is a remote, full-time employee role, open to US residents, with a preference for applicants located in Eastern or Central Time Zones. Candidates must be able to work during the hours of 9AM-6PM ET, Mon-Fri, and be available to travel 3-4 times per year. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 years of proven project management experience Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional teams (sales, operations, marketing, product, events, etc.) Experience working with external vendors, agencies, or partner teams Proven experience creating project plans, timelines, and workflows from scratch Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with both creative and operational components YOU'RE PERFECT FOR MELANIN MONEY IF... You are a natural orchestrator: You know how to get the right people doing the right things at the right time-and keep everyone aligned. Macro-micro multitasking is your sweet spot: You can scope a project from 30,000 feet and also track task-level details without dropping balls. You take initiative and lead without handholding: You instinctively fill gaps, ask the right questions, and move projects forward even when information is incomplete. You build systems from scratch: You love taking a blank page and creating structure, processes, templates, and workflows that teams can follow. You communicate clearly and confidently: You know how to simplify complexity, deliver concise updates, and hold people accountable with professionalism. You manage multiple stakeholders with ease: Internal teams, external vendors, contractors, advisors, planners-you can coordinate them all smoothly. You are solutions-oriented and thrive in fast-paced environments: You remain composed during shifting priorities and solve problems with strategy, not stress. You embody ownership, excellence, and integrity: Your work is polished. Your timelines are reliable. And when something goes wrong, you handle it swiftly and transparently. You believe in Melanin Money's mission: You're excited to help scale a brand serving and empowering people of color across the world. You excel at planning and managing complex initiatives-you're comfortable overseeing multi-phase projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and you know how to keep everything moving cohesively. You have a strong command of timelines and dependencies-you anticipate handoffs, surface risks early, and keep teams aligned and accountable to deliver on commitments. You are an excellent communicator and facilitator-you can lead meetings, drive clarity and decisions, and coordinate effectively across departments, vendors, and partners. You can take big-picture goals and turn them into action-you translate leadership expectations, project goals, and campaign plans into clear tasks, workflows, and deliverables. You are systems-oriented in your execution-you enjoy building structured approaches for tracking progress, measuring success, and keeping projects organized from start to finish. You are highly organized and documentation-driven-you create and maintain timelines, workflows, SOPs, reports, and project trackers that teams can actually use and rely on. You are resourceful and proactive-you spot issues before they escalate, troubleshoot breakdowns thoughtfully, and propose practical, effective solutions. You bring strong operational thinking and problem-solving skills-you're able to assess challenges holistically and take smart, decisive action. You are comfortable working in evolving environments-you don't need everything to be perfect or fully built to get started, and you enjoy helping shape and improve processes over time. You can juggle multiple priorities without sacrificing quality-you manage several projects at once while maintaining attention to detail and high standards. You are confident using modern project management tools-you're proficient in platforms like ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Notion, or similar, and you know how to use them to drive visibility and accountability. You are highly proficient in Google Workspace-you use Docs, Sheets, and Slides to communicate clearly, track progress, and support cross-functional collaboration. You thrive in fast-paced environments-you stay focused, adaptable, and solution-oriented when priorities shift. You take ownership of outcomes-you care deeply about the quality of your work, follow through on details, and see projects through to successful completion. You bring experience in coaching or online education businesses-and understand how to support programs, launches, or campaigns in that space (not required, but a plus). RESPONSIBILITIES Project Leadership & Strategy Own end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of company-wide projects, from scoping to final handoff. Serve as the internal liaison for external partners (event planners, marketing agencies, graphic designers, contractors). Ensure all stakeholders have the correct information, access, timelines, and resources to complete their work. Maintain an in-depth understanding of how each team operates to anticipate needs and coordinate effectively. Lead recurring project status meetings and deliver concise, actionable follow-up reporting. Ensure all project communication is aligned-internal messaging, campaign timelines, launch details, and event updates. Hold team members accountable with professionalism and empathy, ensuring clarity of expectations and next steps. Quality-check deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and alignment before they move to the next stage. Provide leadership with regular progress updates, issues logs, and recommendations for course correction.
