The Associate Chief Medical Officer will provide leadership and direction for all medical activities associated with the Company. This role includes ensuring effective policies and procedures are in place and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and DEA Certification. Previous medical leadership and clinical risk management experience are also required.
Associate Chief Medical Officer Department: Recruitment Employment Type: Part Time Location: MedTrust - Oklahoma City Description Your work schedule will generally consist of 1 to 2 hours a week. However, there will be occasional duties that will require additional time. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following: • Annual reviews of policy/procedure, CQI, infection control, nursing protocols and chronic care guidelines • Occasional new prescriber training • Creation and implementation of new policies, procedures and/or programs as needed The primary role of the Associate Chief Medical Officer will be to provide leadership and direction for all medical activities associated with the Company. The CMO provides professional knowledge and experience to give the "clinical voice" in the implementation of the company's policies. This position requires a proactive approach to the development and implementation of the Company's policy in a continuously evolving healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities • Ensure effective and efficient policies and procedures are in place for respective areas of responsibility and in compliance with the regulatory requirements. • Provide consultation on professional and clinical issues relating to physicians and other allied healthcare professionals. • Examines existing medical care standards, protocols and practices; revises and enhances; puts in place benchmarks to ensure that patients are receiving the highest quality of care. • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. • Assess individual cases for potential risk. • Lead the clinical direction of the Company • Strong knowledge of NCCHC standards Skills, Knowledge and Expertise • Doctor of Medicine (MD) • Stated and Federal DEA Certification • Demonstrate previous medical leadership • Clinical risk management experience
