A Day in the Life The Physician Relations Consultant will play a critical role in advancing Medtronic’s Surgical Operating Unit by driving strategic engagement with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), leading high-level advisory boards, and building strong partnerships with surgical societies. This role is responsible for designing and executing physician engagement programs that align with Medtronic’s pillars of Evidence, Innovation, and Education. This position will collaborate cross-functionally across Clinical, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Research teams to ensure physician insights are incorporated into strategy and decision-making. The position requires expertise in managing complex internal and external relationships, orchestrating logistics for advisory boards and consultative initiatives, and capturing the impact of KOL engagement in ways that demonstrate value to the business. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to deliver meaningful physician partnerships that amplify Medtronic’s leadership in robotics and surgical innovation, while supporting business objectives at a global scale. This role will require up to 20% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects. You Will: • Develops, maintains, and enhances the company's image with thought leaders/high profile individuals and/or groups. • Organizes company-sponsored symposia for consultant and advisory board meetings. • Develops, fosters and maintain key customer relationships with healthcare professionals, and surgical and medical society organizations strategically aligned with the business to increase market access and development opportunities and to aid in the education of other healthcare professionals. • Responds to outside requests for samples, literature, and general information. • Develops concepts and aligns programs with market, product and brand strategies. • Designs and implements educational programs. • May negotiate sponsorship contracts. Must Have: • Bachelors Degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or • Advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$164,800.00 - $247,200.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
