Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will participate in overnight beeper call shifts as required. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation. - You will stay current with advances in pediatric urology to provide evidence-based care. What You Bring: - You must hold a valid medical license to practice in Texas. - You must have completed fellowship training in Pediatric Urology. - You must have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You must be comfortable managing both clinic and surgical cases. - You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. - Bilingual skills, especially Spanish, to better serve the local community. - Prior experience in a hospital setting in western Texas.
