Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20 pediatric cases, ensuring high-quality treatment and follow-up. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will be available for overnight beeper call shifts as required. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and procedures. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You possess strong surgical skills and experience in both outpatient and OR settings. - You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. - You are comfortable managing call responsibilities and working independently. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary staffing roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications or training in pediatric subspecialties. - Experience in rural or underserved healthcare settings.
