Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to provide locum tenens coverage at a leading hospital in western Texas. This role involves delivering expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing patient care needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will participate in overnight beeper call shifts as required. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation. - You will stay current with advances in pediatric urology to provide evidence-based care. - You will contribute to a positive and supportive work environment. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You possess strong surgical skills and experience in pediatric urologic procedures. - You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. - You are comfortable managing call responsibilities and working flexible schedules. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications or training in pediatric subspecialties. - Experience in a hospital setting similar to western Texas healthcare environments.
