Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of approximately 15-20 pediatric patients. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will participate in overnight beeper call shifts as required. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will document patient encounters accurately and timely in compliance with hospital policies. - You will ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. - You will contribute to maintaining high standards of patient satisfaction and care quality. What You Bring: - You must have a valid medical license to practice in Texas. - You must be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Urology. - You should have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You must be comfortable managing both outpatient and surgical pediatric urology cases. - You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. - You must be able to handle on-call responsibilities including overnight beeper shifts. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications or training in pediatric surgical techniques. - Experience in a hospital setting similar to the one in western Texas.
