This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs with a flexible schedule. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of approximately 15-20 cases, ensuring high-quality treatment and follow-up. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month to support hospital staffing needs. - You will respond to overnight beeper call shifts as required, providing urgent care and consultation. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and procedures. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. - You will stay current with advances in pediatric urology to provide evidence-based care. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You possess at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You are licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Texas. - You have strong surgical skills and experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. - You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. - You are comfortable managing call responsibilities and urgent patient needs. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary staffing roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems used in hospital settings. - Additional certifications or training in minimally invasive pediatric urology techniques. - Prior experience in a rural or community hospital environment.
