Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, delivering high-quality diagnostic and treatment services. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will participate in overnight beeper call shifts to respond to urgent patient needs. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies. - You will ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. - You will engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advances in pediatric urology. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Urology with fellowship training or equivalent experience in Pediatric Urology. - You have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You possess strong surgical skills and experience performing pediatric urological procedures. - You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams. - You are comfortable managing call responsibilities and working independently during locum assignments. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a hospital setting in western or rural Texas. - Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications in pediatric care or minimally invasive urological techniques. - Prior locum tenens experience.
