Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing specialized urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of approximately 15-20 cases, ensuring high-quality treatment and follow-up. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will participate in overnight beeper call shifts as required, responding promptly to urgent cases. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies. - You will contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the urology department. What You Bring: - You must have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You must have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You must hold an active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Texas or be eligible for licensure. - You must demonstrate strong clinical decision-making and surgical skills. - You must be comfortable managing both outpatient and inpatient pediatric urology cases. - You must have excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary physician roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications or training in minimally invasive pediatric urology techniques. - Prior experience in a hospital setting in western Texas or similar regions.
