Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role is designed to provide critical support to the hospital’s pediatric urology team, ensuring continuous, high-quality care for young patients in both clinical and surgical settings. What You'll Do: - You will provide expert pediatric urology care during 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will manage patient consultations and treatments in both clinic and operating room environments. - You will respond to overnight beeper call shifts, ensuring timely and effective patient care. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with hospital policies. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. - You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to provide compassionate care. What You Bring: - You must have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You should have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Texas. - You should have strong surgical skills and experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. - You must be comfortable managing call responsibilities and working independently. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a locum tenens or temporary staffing role. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications or training in pediatric surgical techniques. - Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to patient care.
