Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role is designed to provide critical support to the hospital’s pediatric urology team, delivering expert care in both clinical and surgical settings while managing patient needs effectively. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in both clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, ensuring high-quality, individualized treatment plans. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month to maintain continuity of care. - You will respond to overnight beeper call shifts, addressing urgent patient needs promptly. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. - You will document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and timely. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You possess at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You are licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Texas. - You have strong clinical judgment and surgical skills specific to pediatric urology. - You demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a locum tenens or temporary staffing role. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications or training in minimally invasive pediatric urology procedures. - Prior experience in a hospital setting similar to the opportunity location.
