Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will respond to overnight beeper call shifts as required, providing timely consultation and intervention. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with hospital policies. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. What You Bring: - You must have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You must have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Texas. - You must have strong clinical decision-making and surgical skills. - You must be able to work independently and manage a busy patient load. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Prior experience in a hospital setting in western Texas.
