Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will manage a patient census of approximately 15-20 cases. - You will respond to overnight beeper call shifts as required. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care. - You will document patient encounters accurately and timely. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. - You will maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You possess strong surgical skills and experience in pediatric urologic procedures. - You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - You are comfortable managing call responsibilities and working independently. - You hold a valid medical license to practice in Texas or are eligible for licensure. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary staffing roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional training or certification in minimally invasive pediatric urology techniques. - Experience in a hospital setting with a high patient volume.
