Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to provide locum coverage at a leading hospital in western Texas. This role involves delivering specialized urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing patient care needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide expert pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20 pediatric cases. - You will respond to overnight beeper call shifts as required. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. - You will document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You possess strong surgical skills and experience in pediatric urologic procedures. - You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. - You are comfortable managing call responsibilities and urgent patient needs. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications or training in pediatric subspecialties. - Prior experience in a hospital setting in western Texas or similar regions.
