Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, ensuring high-quality treatment and follow-up. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will participate in overnight beeper call shifts as required. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters. - You will stay current with advances in pediatric urology to provide evidence-based care. What You Bring: - You must have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You must have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas. - You must have strong clinical decision-making and surgical skills. - You must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with locum tenens or temporary staffing roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications or training in minimally invasive pediatric urology procedures. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
