Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role is designed to provide critical support to the hospital’s pediatric urology team, ensuring continuous, high-quality care for young patients in both clinical and surgical settings. What You'll Do: - You will provide expert pediatric urology care in both clinic and operating room environments. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, delivering comprehensive evaluations and treatments. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month to maintain consistent patient care. - You will respond to overnight beeper call shifts, ensuring urgent cases are addressed promptly. - You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans. - You will document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and timely. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You possess at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You are licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas. - You have strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work independently. - You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional training or certification in minimally invasive pediatric urologic procedures. - Prior experience in a hospital setting with overnight call responsibilities.
