Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing specialized urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, ensuring high-quality treatment and patient outcomes. The position requires flexibility and dedication, including overnight beeper call shifts. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, delivering expert diagnosis and treatment plans. - You will participate in overnight beeper call shifts, responding promptly to urgent patient needs. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes. - You will maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies. - You will stay current with advancements in pediatric urology to apply best practices. - You will support hospital initiatives aimed at improving patient safety and quality of care. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Urology with fellowship training or equivalent experience in Pediatric Urology. - You possess at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You are licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Texas. - You demonstrate strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills. - You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Prior experience in a hospital setting with both clinic and OR responsibilities. - Additional certifications or training in pediatric surgical techniques.
