Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs with a flexible schedule. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of approximately 15-20 cases, ensuring high-quality treatment and follow-up. - You will participate in overnight beeper call shifts, responding promptly to urgent patient needs. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols. - You will assist in educating patients and families about treatment options and post-operative care. - You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the urology department. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You possess at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You are licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Texas. - You have strong clinical skills in both outpatient and surgical pediatric urology. - You demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional training or certification in minimally invasive pediatric urology techniques. - Prior experience in a hospital setting in Texas.
