Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will participate in overnight beeper call shifts as required. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and procedures. - You will ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. - You will contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department. What You Bring: - You must have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You must have at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You must hold an active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Texas or be eligible for licensure. - You must demonstrate strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills. - You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional training or fellowship in minimally invasive pediatric urology techniques. - Prior experience in a hospital setting in western Texas.
