Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to join a leading hospital in western Texas on a locum tenens basis. This role involves providing expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing coverage needs. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month. - You will be available for overnight beeper call shifts as required. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and procedures. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. - You will ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You possess at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You have strong surgical skills and experience in pediatric urologic procedures. - You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - You are comfortable managing call responsibilities and working independently. - You hold a valid medical license to practice in Texas or are eligible for licensure. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a locum tenens or temporary staffing role. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional training or fellowship in pediatric urology subspecialties. - Experience in quality improvement or clinical research.
