Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Urologist to provide locum coverage at a leading hospital in western Texas. This role involves delivering expert urological care to pediatric patients in both clinical and surgical settings, supporting the hospital’s ongoing patient care needs with flexible scheduling. What You'll Do: - You will provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in clinic and operating room settings. - You will manage a patient census of 15-20 pediatric cases, ensuring high-quality treatment and follow-up. - You will work 8-hour shifts, covering two weeks per month with overnight beeper call responsibilities. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - You will maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and procedures. - You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes. - You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated care. What You Bring: - You have a medical degree and board certification in Pediatric Urology. - You possess at least 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric urology. - You are licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Texas. - You have strong surgical skills and experience in pediatric urologic procedures. - You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - You are comfortable managing call schedules and working independently. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in locum tenens or temporary healthcare roles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Additional certifications or training in pediatric subspecialties. - Prior experience in a hospital setting in Texas.
