We are building a national orthopedic medical device and technology platform through a disciplined acquisition strategy across implantable devices, surgical systems, enabling technologies, and adjacent orthopedic services. Our objective is to acquire and integrate multiple lower-middle-market companies to create a scaled, category-leading orthopedic platform positioned for long-term strategic value creation and a potential public-market or strategic exit. This is an opportunity to join at the platform formation stage and play a central role in identifying, evaluating, and executing the acquisitions that will define the enterprise. Role & Responsibilities The Director of Corporate Development will: • Source and screen lower-middle-market orthopedic device and technology companies ($5M–$100M revenue) • Identify acquisition opportunities across implants, instruments, robotics-adjacent systems, orthopedic software, and DME-enabled platforms • Develop direct relationships with founders, CEOs, surgeons, and owner-operators • Lead proprietary outreach and advance executive-level transaction discussions • Conduct financial, strategic, and operational evaluation of acquisition targets • Support valuation analysis, LOI structuring, negotiation, and transaction execution • Coordinate with legal, accounting, and diligence advisors through closing • Participate in post-acquisition integration planning and value-creation initiatives • Work directly with senior leadership, orthopedic physicians, operating executives, and external advisors This role is directly tied to platform scale, valuation growth, and long-term strategic outcomes. Ideal Candidate Profile • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the orthopedic medical device industry, with direct interaction with CEOs, founders, and owners of medical device companies • Background in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, or private equity • Direct experience in orthopedic devices, medical devices, healthcare technology, or DME • Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with founders, CEOs, and physician-led organizations • Strong sourcing capability and comfort with proprietary outreach • Ability to drive transactions from initial contact through diligence, LOI, and closing • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable operating in an acquisition-driven environment • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred Compensation Structure • Performance-based compensation tied to sourced and completed acquisitions • Equity / stock option participation in the orthopedic platform • Opportunity for base salary following an initial performance period • Significant long-term upside aligned with platform growth and liquidity outcomes Why This Role Is Distinct • Early participation in building a multi-acquisition orthopedic platform • Direct access to decision-makers and transaction leadership • Equity economics typically reserved for senior deal teams • High-impact role without large-firm bureaucracy • Opportunity to help build a scaled orthopedic enterprise through acquisitions Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • Health insurance • Travel reimbursement Work Location: Remote
