We are driving a multi-year Digital Transformation Initiative to unify our digital ecosystem, including CMS, Member Portals, Senior Living Apps, and Caregiver engagement platforms, into one scalable, modular Unified App Platform. We are seeking a Principal Frontend App Developer to help architect, lead, and deliver this transformation across web and mobile applications. Role Summary: As the Principal Frontend App Developer, you will serve as the technical leader for the design and implementation of modern, scalable, and user-friendly applications that power our next-generation member and caregiver experiences. You will set coding standards, establish architectural patterns, and mentor a team of frontend developers while working closely with backend, AI/ML, and product teams. This role is critical to delivering our Nexus vision: a modular, CMS driven, multilingual platform that consolidates multiple apps into a seamless member, caregiver, and partner experience. Key Responsibilities: Architecture & Design Lead frontend architecture for the Unified App Platform (web + mobile using React/React Native or Flutter). Design modular, reusable UI components aligned with our Meta-driven Design System. Implement headless CMS (Contentful/Strapi/Custom) integrations for dynamic content delivery. Ensure scalability, accessibility, performance, and security across all frontend layers. Leadership & Mentorship Serve as technical authority and leader for frontend developers across pods. Drive adoption of best practices in code quality, performance optimization, and automated testing. Champion agile and DevSecOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, story pointing). Delivery & Execution Collaborate with Product, UX, and Data teams to translate requirements into technical designs. Integrate with backend microservices, orchestration engine (IOE), and third-party APIs (Salesforce, Twilio, Hubspot, Waypoint). Lead the delivery of multi-brand, multi-tenant app features that support MG, MobileHelp, and MedScope ecosystems. Support migration of legacy portals/apps into the unified platform. Innovation Explore emerging frontend technologies (Next.js, Progressive Web Apps, Edge rendering). Drive personalized engagement features leveraging AI/ML and the Behavioral Digital Twin model. Participate in patent filings and thought leadership around digital healthcare experiences. Required Skills & Experience: Technical Expertise 8+ years of professional frontend development experience; 3+ years in a lead/principal role. Mastery of React.js/React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks. Experience with Flutter or hybrid frameworks for cross-platform delivery. Strong understanding of CMS integration, micro frontends, and modular app design. Expertise in responsive design, accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), and performance optimization. Architecture & Systems Experience designing for multi-brand, multi-tenant platforms. Familiarity with Azure cloud ecosystem (App Services, Static Web Apps, Blob/CDN). Understanding of microservices, GraphQL/REST APIs, and real-time communication. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and observability tools. Collaboration & Leadership Proven ability to mentor teams and establish coding standards. Strong cross-functional collaboration with designers, backend engineers, and product managers. Excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. Must have the ability to work from our Center City, Philadelphia office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Nice to Have: Experience with healthcare/regulated industries (HIPAA, PHI, medical device integrations). Knowledge of multilingual, CMS-driven content delivery. Familiarity with AI/ML integration into frontend workflows (chatbots, personalization engines). Background in design systems and component libraries (Storybook, Figma integration).
