Smart Device Product Manager Summary: The Smart Device Product Manager will be responsible for the overall technical success and strategic management of connected drug delivery device and packaging products. The Smart Device Product Manager in this role should bring a passion for identifying opportunities to implement new digital health technologies and possess the collaborative skills to create tangible products from these opportunities. Key product responsibilities: • Acts as a bridge between the business, clinical, and commercial stakeholders and the product development teams by capturing business and customer needs, structuring projects and working with development teams to translate needs into requirements. • Defining, managing, and executing a Platform technology’s lifecycle and roadmap, including ensuring that stakeholder complaints and requests are managed as part of the backlog. • Provides Product Management expertise to Device Teams when they are implementing Smart Device technology. • May serve as a Platform Team Lead for Smart Device projects focused on bringing platform technologies through design verification. • Collaborating with UX and HF to define user journeys and user stories. • Helps to inform, influence, and establish a successful path forward as well as communicating status to internal/external stakeholders, and teams. • Making decisions and recommendations backed by data, evidence and good judgement as well as measuring and demonstrating project successes. • Collaborating with Quality and Regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance with global regulations and internal quality management processes. Key strategic responsibilities: • Working with cross-functional teams to inform technical planning and understand the portfolio strategy to serve business needs. • Quantifying and prioritizing market opportunities through completion of market research programs, review of existing market research material, and collaboration with relevant teams. • Identifying key questions for competitive intelligence in the fast-changing medical technology / digital health market, high level and feature by feature. • Collaborating with internal and external innovation teams to evaluate new technologies, including technology assessments, prototyping, and technology exploration. Here is some of what you’ll need (required): • Relevant BS/BA, preferably an engineering degree. • 2+ years of relevant experience in pharma and/or device development, preferably with a focus on software as a medical device. • Familiarity with technical product management, software development or implementation as well as cloud technologies • Familiarity with user-centered design and Agile development methodologies • Strong organizational, leadership, communications, problem solving, and documentation skills. • As a part of geographically distributed team, you are flexible in terms of off-hours meetings. • Fluent in English. • Willingness to travel.
