Position Overview The Director, Labor Management is responsible for shaping, governing, and executing the system’s enterprise labor strategy. This includes labor forecasting, productivity oversight, staffing operations, cost optimization, training, and policy standardization across multiple hospitals and service lines. The role requires strong operational understanding, workforce analytics expertise, and the ability to influence decisions at the executive level. Job Title: Director, Labor Management Location: Hybrid Schedule: 8–5 CST Start Date: Mid January Job Responsibilities • Lead development and execution of the enterprise labor management strategy • Oversee labor forecasting, reporting, staffing impact analysis, and productivity monitoring • Drive standardization of labor policies, procedures, and management tools • Manage real-time labor performance analysis and identify improvement opportunities • Align with hospital and system leadership on staffing goals and financial targets • Guide labor management education for operational and clinical leaders • Participate in budget cycles, providing labor-related recommendations • Validate premium labor spend requests through data (turnover, volume, productivity) • Implement operational excellence and data-driven improvements across labor workflows • Support labor transformation work aligned with the Oracle Cloud ERP migration Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred • 5+ years healthcare experience • 5+ years management experience • Strong background in analytics, communication, operations, and labor strategy Work Environment / Notes • System-level scope (not campus-specific) • Highly matrixed, fast-paced, enterprise environment • Heavy emphasis on analytics, standardization, operational improvement • High visibility with AVPs, CFO teams, and system executives • Candidate should be comfortable navigating large, multi-hospital organizations • Background in large-scale labor & time management preferred (multi-hospital)
