Full Description

Company Description In 2019, we started building profitable startups from scratch. We brought together top engineering minds from places like Princeton and MIT to drive the highest success rate in the industry and turn company building into a science. During that time, we’ve built ten high-growth companies, driving $200M+ in revenue. Along the way, we’ve developed an engineering approach to entrepreneurship rooted in algorithms and advanced mathematics. Now, we’re working to automate company building to the point that we can press a button to launch profitable companies—ventures that can reinvest their own resources to become enterprises that help millions, or even billions, of people. Position Description Mechanism Ventures is looking for a Growth Product Manager to own and accelerate our core growth funnels — from acquisition through retention and monetization. In this role, you’ll own experimentation and conversion optimization across multiple companies, building scalable systems that drive measurable impact. As our first dedicated Growth Product hire, you’ll establish a customer-centric approach to experimentation as a core, world-class capability within Mechanism. You’ll work directly with portfolio company CEOs, Growth, Product, and Data teams to become an expert on our customers, diagnose performance bottlenecks, design and run experiments, and codify learnings that can be deployed across ventures. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact opportunity for a deeply analytical, creative problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of data, customer psychology, and experimentation. You’ll move quickly, think rigorously, and use AI tools to push the boundaries of how fast and effectively startups can grow. Key Responsibilities Partner with CEOs to define and prioritize full-funnel growth initiatives, leading data-driven experimentation and CRO efforts across acquisition, lifecycle, retention, and monetization. Become an expert on the customer (surveys, interviews, usability testing) to understand user behavior for each company and inform testing. Design and execute rigorous hypothesis-driven experiments that improve core funnel metrics and profitability across portfolio companies. This can include testing landing pages, offers, pricing, etc. Analyze funnel and behavioral data to surface insights, inform hypotheses, and prioritize growth opportunities. Translate customer and data insights into testable hypotheses and structured experiments that balance speed, cost, and expected impact. Act as an individual contributor while collaborating with design and engineering to implement and iterate efficiently. Build bottoms-up growth models and analyze P&Ls to quantify growth opportunities, forecast impact, and inform prioritization across experiments and initiatives. Develop and document a repeatable experimentation framework that can be applied across multiple companies. Surface product improvement opportunities from customer insights and usage data, driving enhancements that improve core metrics such as retention. Codify and share learnings across the Mechanism portfolio to multiply impact and accelerate future launches. Leverage AI tools to identify patterns, automate testing workflows, and drive faster growth experimentation cycles. Regularly report on key experiment results and growth insights, keeping stakeholders informed on progress, learnings, and next steps. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 3+ years leading conversion rate optimization (CRO) and funnel experimentation in startup or growth-stage environments. Proven track record of running experiments and moving core business metrics. Strong analytical mindset; ability to translate data into insights and measurable outcomes. Deep understanding of testing best practices (e.g., A/B design, pre/post analysis, control groups, statistical significance). Understanding of multi-channel systems is a plus. Experience with A/B testing software (Convert preferred but not required). Proficiency with Google Suite, GA4, Figma, and AI tools such as Stitch and Lovable; familiarity with Shopify and Webflow is a plus. Exceptional speed and ownership — able to balance experimentation velocity with precision. Ability to conduct customer research and translate qualitative insights into testable growth opportunities. Deep understanding of core KPIs, including unit economics calculations, ROAS, mLTV, CAC, and the ability to balance efficiency with strategic business growth objectives. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills tailored to each stakeholder. Strong entrepreneurial mindset. Feels comfortable with ambiguity and can bring structure to open-ended problems. Exposure to broader growth areas (paid media, lifecycle, retention, SEO) and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Passion for building scalable systems, structured testing, and continuous improvement. Time Commitment This role is full-time and will need to overlap with US ET for the majority of the workday. It is an exciting opportunity that demands a level of dedication beyond the standard 9 to 5. We need someone who's willing to go above and beyond to help us achieve our ambitious goals, and who's eager to put in the effort to make a real impact. Location US-Based - Fully remote. Compensation Our compensation packages are designed to make this your dream job for the short and long term. Each compensation package is tailored to suit your priorities and can include base and equity in the companies we help build. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and an unlimited time off policy with a two-week minimum.
