Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in supply chain, logistics, inventory control, and planning, preferably in manufacturing or rental industries, with ERP skills and leadership experience.
JOB TITLE: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER SALARY: $120K - $157K PLUS 10% BONUS LOCATION: SOUTH HOUSTON, TEXAS OPEN DUE TO GROWTH Overview • Lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations • Ensure timely, cost-effective movement of goods and inventory • Report to Senior Director • Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory teams • Support company operations 24/7/365 including emergencies, shutdowns, and turnarounds • Proven ability to design and implement new systems • Train and mentor employees and leaders across departments • Critically evaluate and improve existing processes by developing more effective procedures. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Collaboration • Manage daily operations of shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics • Supervise and mentor supply chain team; conduct team meetings • Collaborate with production, sales, purchasing, and operations teams • Participate in daily production meetings to align on materials and delivery • Communicate supply chain updates, risks, or delays to leadership Inventory & Logistics • Maintain accurate shipping/receiving documentation (packing slips, BOLs, etc.) • Reconcile POs, receipts, and packing slips • Implement FIFO and manage inventory turnover • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in shipments or inventory • Oversee multiple warehouse locations and inventory accuracy • Ensure traceability and readiness of raw materials, finished goods, and rental kits • Facilitate cycle counting and physical inventory checks Supply Planning & Forecasting • Develop and maintain monthly supply plans from demand forecasts • Create and manage Master Production Schedules • Monitor medium-term capacity and supply loading • Proactively identify and address supply chain risks Shipping & Freight Management • Manage relationships with freight carriers and 3PLs • Optimize transportation costs and shipping timelines • Oversee international shipments and ensure compliance with global regulations • Coordinate high-profile or urgent shipments, including after-hours needs Process Improvement • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing, logistics, and inventory • Analyze supply chain metrics and drive performance improvements • Develop efficient workflows and departmental KPIs • Optimize space utilization and warehouse layout Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field Experience • 5+ years in supply chain, logistics, inventory control, and planning • Background in manufacturing or rental-based businesses preferred • Preference for individuals who come out of manufacturing industries, industrial tool and equipment rental companies, industrial tool companies, turnaround & field services companies to the chemical plants/refineries, etc. Skills • ERP proficiency • Advanced Microsoft Office skills • Strong analytical and communication abilities • Supplier and freight negotiation experience • Inventory control, production planning, and scheduling expertise • Leadership and team development experience Email resumes to Linda Fields at lfields@meador.com
