The Opportunity Since 2005, MDCalc has been an essential part of clinicians’ practice. Often introduced during medical school or residency, MDCalc has become one of the most trusted and used clinical decision support platforms; used by more than 65% of physicians worldwide. Trust, authority, and accuracy fuel a portfolio of over 800 tools, scores, calculators, and assessments that clinicians of over 50 specialties rely on to help them achieve better outcomes for over 200 patient conditions. This wide use and integration within the clinical workflow has established MDCalc as a preeminent HCP platform and a fixed resource at the point of clinical decision-making. To continue to further accelerate and steward this growth, we are seeking a Mid Level Full Stack Developer on our expanding tech team. This role will be critical to MDCalc’s expanded success in continuing to support our millions of clinical users worldwide in taking care of hundreds of millions of patients. The Role Contribute as an integral member of the development team, helping deliver high-quality software products. Take ownership of your work and see projects through to completion. Collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical teammates to ensure timely delivery of features and fixes. Participate in architecture and design discussions, offering input that supports system scalability and performance. Follow and promote software engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, documentation, and adherence to code quality standards. Your Background Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Proficiency in React, React Native, NextJS, Express, and Postgres with experience building scalable, distributed systems and web applications. Experience with the following: Consumer/Public Websites, Mobile Applications, Amazon AWS Terraform, Go, Docker, and BitBucket Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and dive into the details when needed. Solid understanding of software engineering principles and system architecture concepts, with the ability to contribute to refining product specs and tickets. Curiosity and willingness to grow within the role. Knowledge of the healthcare industry and prior experience working in health tech is a plus. What MDCalc offers: The annual base salary for this role is $125,000 - $165,000. Actual compensation will depend on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
