STRUCTURAL PROJECT ENGINEER NEW YORK OFFICE Job Description: Be a part of a dynamic and creative, fast-growing structural engineering firm with projects across the United States and International. Design of high profile, large, complex and architecturally interesting buildings in concrete, structural steel, wood and masonry structural systems. Work both independently and part of an engineering team. Exposure across all aspects of structural engineering design and construction process. Education/Experience: • Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred • Recent PE license or working towards license in near future • 2 to 5 years experience in structural engineering with emphasis on building structures Duties: • Engineering and coordination • Preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, analytical models, reports and correspondence • Construction Administration including review of shop drawings, submittals, RFI’s and field observation • Skills/Qualifications: • Knowledge of building fundamentals and design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI • Proficient with structural programs such as RAM, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE and REVIT • Strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communications • Excellent planning and organizational skills for our fast-paced environment • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges • Collaborate well within a larger project team Role: • Structural engineering & analysis • Preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, analytical models, reports and correspondence • Attend internal and external meetings with clients and design team members • Construction Administration including review of shop drawings, submittals, RFI’s and field observation Skills/Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of building fundamentals and design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI • Experience with structural programs such as SAP2000, RAM, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE and REVIT • Strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communications • Excellent planning and organizational skills for our fast-paced environment • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges • Specific experience with wind, seismic, building motion, tall buidlings and peformance-based-design is desirable. Compensation: Anticipated Salary Range: base salary of $85,000 to $100,000 per year.
