Current Need McKesson’s Customer Experience Operations (CxO) is seeking a Senior Manager, Practice Management System Support. The Sr. Manager of Practice Management System Support leads a remote team responsible for the strategic support and operational oversight of the athenaIDX system across Texas Oncology. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, drives optimization initiatives, and mentors staff in maintaining and enhancing the application. This role collaborates with the cross-functional teams across the US Oncology Network to deliver effective, compliant, and scalable practice management solutions. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Mentorship • Lead support operations for athenaIDX, including mentoring staff on troubleshooting, configuration, and performance tuning. • Drive resource allocation across the Texas Oncology athenaIDX support team. • Maintain documentation and Service Level Agreement standards through monthly ticket audits and utilization report analysis. • Ensure strict adherence to McKesson change management policies. • Mentor team members on professional development, including but not limited to, expanding knowledge of the athenaIDX application. • Participate and, as needed, lead team building exercises across the PM System Support organization. • Conducts quarterly and annual performance evaluations, reviewing individual development plans, departmental and personal goals, and providing performance feedback. • Facilitates weekend and after-hours preventative maintenance exercises. Customer Success & Collaboration • Work to provide strategic guidance on system enhancements and changes. • Partners with users to identify, evaluate, and develop solutions to business problems which are cost effective and meet user requirements. • Participate in strategic planning sessions with both internal and customer-facing resources. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and timely execution. • Works with application vendors to evaluate and design solutions for business and customer requirements. Incident Management • Manage escalated issues from customers and internal teams. • Works with application vendors to escalate outages and provide timely resolution and updates to customers. • Leadership during incident management, including, but not limited to, resource allocation and/or direct participation in problem management process and root cause analysis. Education & Minimum Requirements Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience. Critical Skills • 5+ years’ experience in designing, building, implementing, and supporting business solutions using information technology, particularly with athenaIDX systems. • 5+ years in healthcare revenue cycle management. • Significant experience in business analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems. • Proven leadership in managing complex projects and mentoring technical teams. • Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory Domain Architecture. • Ability to understand user requirements and communicate them in an appropriate manner to development personnel. Additional Skills • Candidate must be decisive. • Candidate must possess excellent problem-solving skills. • Candidate must be customer-focused and collaborative. • Candidate must show experience in their ability to lead, follow, and work well within a team. • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a remote work environment. • Ability to develop, follow, and execute project plans. • Ability to work as a team or an individual contributor. • Ability to work as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment. • Ability to develop, distribute, and maintain internal and customer-facing technical and procedural documentation. • Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to communicate well at all levels. • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Working Conditions • This is a Remote role. • Must have ability to travel up to 10% of the time, depending on the location. • Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted – This position is not eligible for sponsorship. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
