This is a remote position available to candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States, with a preference for those located in the East Coast Time Zone. What can you expect from the position? • Build web based responsive learning tools that will be used by millions of learners and educators • Work with engineers, product managers, designers, sales and marketing managers to build products that the customers love to use • Be responsible for end-to-end delivery (tech design, development and testing) and maintenance of our products • Manage the entire software development life cycle using infra and monitoring as code • Work with a talented group of engineers who believe in extreme ownership What you'll need to be successful? • 5+ years of experience is required in Java and any or most of the technologies below. • Spring • Angular, React • RESTful Services • CI / CD pipeline • Databases • AWS services • Docker / Containerization (understanding) • Distributed Caching • Tomcat • Observability • Product engineering background to support development of B2B and B2C products • Experience building responsive, accessible and high-performance web-based products • Experience with one or more observability platforms to monitor the health of the products • Ability and desire to work in various layers of software stack (front-end, backend). Backend expert with some front-end experience. • Bachelor's degree in computer science • Experience with Terraform is desirable Why McGraw Hill? The pay range for this position is between $124,350 - $160,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
