Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our McDonald's locations in Columbia and Coastal SC. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive team performance within a fast-paced, quick service & fast food restaurant environment. This leadership role requires a strong background in food service management, team supervision, and operational excellence to maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and hospitality. The General Manager will be responsible for managing staff, controlling inventory, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations aligned with brand standards. Responsibilities • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure quality standards are met. • Manage POS systems for accurate cash handling and sales tracking. • Supervise staff training, development, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team. • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels. • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the restaurant. • Lead shift management by coordinating schedules, supervising kitchen and front-of-house teams, and ensuring efficient workflow. • Handle customer service issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction levels. • Conduct interviewing and hiring processes for new team members to build a skilled workforce. • Manage budgeting, cost control, and operational efficiencies to meet business objectives. • Coordinate catering, banquet events, or other special services when applicable. • Develop strategies for continuous improvement in hospitality management, culinary excellence, and overall restaurant performance. Experience • Proven management experience in the food industry, particularly within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments. • Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety practices. • Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. • Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising teams, training staff, and managing restaurant operations effectively. • Background in hospitality management or hotel experience is a plus. • Previous experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food production is preferred. • Familiarity with culinary techniques including cooking and food handling is advantageous. • Experience in supervising shifts, managing customer service expectations, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety are essential.
