About the Position: Our client, a top international law firm based in Chicago, is actively seeking an attorney with continuation fund transactions experience to join its investment funds practice in Chicago as an associate. With a team of attorneys in North America, Europe and Asia, this firm has the largest, most active investment funds practice of any law firm in the world. Attorneys in this practice advise a wide range of investment fund clients, from top global asset managers to first-time sponsors, on legal, regulatory, tax, and commercial matters and represent leading institutional investors worldwide, including sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and corporations. Highlights: · Chambers-ranked Banking and Finance practice · Named in Bloomberg Law's inaugural list of "Leading Law Firms" 2025 · Ranked as one of the Best Law Firms in Chicago by Vault Law · Recognized on Time Magazine’s and Statista’s 2025 list of “America’s Best Midsize Companies” based on employee satisfaction, revenue growth and more · Well-being initiatives Responsibilities: · Represent lead investors in continuation fund transactions and assist sponsor clients with closing continuation fund transactions · Advise both sponsors and investors on various types of liquidity transactions, including GP-led tender offers, fund-level preferred equity facilities, and management spin-outs Required Qualifications: · 1-3 years of experience representing middle-market sponsors in connection with single- and multi-asset continuation fund transactions · Background practicing at a leading national or international law firm · Excellent academic credentials Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,000 - $260,000.
