Technical Business Analyst / PM Needed at a Leading Hedge Fund Location: New York, NY. Hybrid 3 days a week in office - Must be within commuting distance to be in the NYC office when requested. Compensation: TBD, This is a contract position. You will sign a consulting agreement and be paid a per diem rate. Preference given to direct C2C candidates without a 3rd party. COMPANY OVERVIEW: Mazuma Software is a small technology consulting firm specializing in systems development for the hedge fund industry. WE NEED YOU: The role of technical business analyst is within our Operation team, responsible for maintaining deep knowledge of the business process of Operations and Credit business more broadly. The role requires the ability to maintain close working relationships with the key leads in these areas, as well as the technology team supporting them. RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Implementations: • Manage multiple projects concurrently • Coordinate business analysis meetings • Design screen mockups, user stories, and convey these requirements to IT teams • Coordinate multiple IT teams to provide required data as projects dictate • Convey business processes and business requirements to senior IT management • Run product demos and proof of concept walkthroughs • Extract application storyboards and detailed use cases from requirements conversations with business teams Day to Day: • Manage a detailed list of software development and support tickets in JIRA • Communicate software iteration timelines to business teams, in coordination with development teams • Deep dive analysis of operations and accounting business processes when triaging application problems or investigating requirements on new projects • Work with downstream applications for their data needs from Operations systems, using API based approach • Help in building data integration with external sources • Train and hand-hold business teams when new products or services are deployed • Partner with the support team to train them on our evolving software products and ensure overnight support coverage of key processes • Participate in quality assurance testing for releases, in coordination with our QA team RESPONSIBILITIES: • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Finance • 3-5 years of experience it managing deliverables independently • 5-7 years in the finance field, playing Business Analyst role • Good understanding of Portfolio Management tools and Operations/Accounting business processes • Good understanding of the private loans investment space including key concepts such as principal, interest, and the marking process • Good experience of Excel functionality • Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL knowledge • Familiarity with mockup tools such as Balsamiq • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent project management skills • Excellent time management skills; required when juggling multiple high priority projects DESIRABLE SKILLS: • Experience working with/for hedge funds, private equity funds, hedge fund technology vendors, hedge fund administrators and/or prime brokers. • Wall Street Office knowledge • Investran knowledge • Bloomberg and other data provider integration experience • Salesforce Experience Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: From $600.00 per day Application Question(s): • Do you currently have an entity or plan on creating an entity to have a direct corp to corp contract? • What state are you located in? • Will you be able to come into the office 3 days a week? • Are you applying on behalf of someone else?
