Job Title: Project Manager – Architectural Millwork Location: Southern New Jersey Compensation: $85,000. - $110,000. Industry: High-End Commercial About the Role: We are an architectural millwork and custom fabrication shop looking for a high-caliber Project Manager to lead projects from submittals through installation. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for General Contractors, ensuring that our craftsmanship is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with our Shop Foreman and Controller to manage the: Schedule, Scope, and Budget. Key Responsibilities • Project Lifecycle Management: Take full ownership of projects ranging from $50k to $2M+. Create and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure shop production aligns with site readiness. • Submittals & Engineering: Coordinate with the drafting department to ensure shop drawings are accurate, meet design intent, and are approved by the GC/Architect in a timely manner. • Financial Stewardship: Manage the "Profit & Loss" of each job. You will identify scope creep, draft and price change orders, and work with the Controller to review monthly WIP (Work-in-Progress) reports. • Vendor & Subcontractor Oversight: Source specialty materials (stone, metal, glass) and manage installation crews to ensure seamless integration with our millwork. • Site Leadership: Attend job site meetings, perform field measurements, and troubleshoot installation challenges in real-time. Qualifications • Experience: 5+ years of Project Management experience specifically within Architectural Millwork or high-end interior finishes. • Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications. You must understand woodworking joinery and finish standards (AWI standards). • Software: Proficiency. Experience with ERP-based job costing is a major plus. • Communication: Exceptional "client-facing" skills. You can hold your own in a room with demanding General Contractors and high-profile Architects. • Local Presence: Must be able to travel to job sites across the Tri-State area as needed.
