The Transportation Coordinator plays a critical role in keeping our crane operations moving efficiently and safely. This position partners closely with Operations, drivers, customers, and internal teams to coordinate complex transportation logistics, optimize costs, and ensure on-time delivery of cranes and components across local and national projects. What you'll do: Partner with Operations to develop accurate load sheets for local and national crane moves Schedule and coordinate crane and component transportation using internal fleet resources and external carriers Track deliveries and proactively communicate updates to internal stakeholders Collaborate with Regional Crawler Managers to locate, transport, and stage crawler components for assemblies and reconfigurations Monitor, document, and report driver-related issues including accidents and safety concerns Coordinate external freight bids to balance service quality and cost efficiency Work closely with the internal Permit team to ensure all freight movements are compliant with regulations Collaborate with Branch Managers and Dispatchers to create efficient equipment schedules that maximize branch and company resources Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve service Perform other duties as assigned What you bring: High School diploma or GED required 3+ years of experience in transportation, construction, fleet, or heavy equipment operations preferred 3+ years of experience in a dispatching, scheduling, or logistics role using a CMMS system (JD Edwards preferred) Skills & Knowledge Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel In-depth knowledge of local geography and routing Advanced experience working within a CMMS system Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills Working knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, ASME, and general construction safety requirements related to cranes and hoists Why join us: Be part of a growing, industry-leading organization Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work has real impact Opportunity to support large-scale, high-profile crane operations Competitive pay and benefits
