Position Summary The Food Production Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment in all food processing and production areas. This role ensures that all equipment, surfaces, and facilities meet company, industry, and regulatory standards for food safety and cleanliness. Key Responsibilities COLD WORKING ENVIRONMENT!! • Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas according to established schedules and sanitation procedures. • Disassemble and reassemble machinery for thorough cleaning as needed. • Handle and mix cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely, following all safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines. • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs). • Dispose of waste materials properly and maintain clean floors, drains, and walls. • Conduct pre-operational inspections of equipment and report any damage or malfunction to the supervisor. • Work closely with production staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations. • Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental regulations. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous experience in food manufacturing or industrial sanitation preferred. • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and food safety practices (HACCP, GMP, SSOP). • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, cold, or wet environments. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
