We are looking for a Wireline Telecom SR Construction Manager Leading Crews in underfgground construction FTTH is nessasary. Responsibilities The Wireline Telecom Sr. Construction Manager is responsible for the safety, quality, financial, production, schedule, vendor management/invoice approval, crew management/timesheet approval, site expectation setting, close-out aggregation/dissemination per market project timeline requirements, inventory, and customer satisfaction performance of their assigned projects, which are typically initiative/activity specific (i.e. fiber construction, fiber path creation for above ground and underground applications, emergency restoral of fiber networks). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This role reports to the market General Manager and is considered to also be a customer facing role out in the field. Communicate with the Project Manager and other project stakeholders to develop and manage safety, quality, financials, production, schedule, inventory, resource, and customer satisfaction objectives as it relates to the construction phase for assigned projects. Serves as the site-specific expert for assigned projects related to construction planning, fiber path creation, workmanship quality and fiber splicing hand off. Work with the project team to develop initial project-specific budgeted cost and budgeted revenue estimates in an effort to mitigate cost overruns for the construction portion of assigned projects. Estimate special effort costs outside of normal contract fees, such as difficult fiber rock boring shots, excessive restoral of roadways and neighborhoods, critical flagging / traffic control etc. Take lead responsibility for all revenue and cost components of the construction portion of the project. Work with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the forecasted construction schedule for assigned projects and report on all milestone actualizations/schedule changes. Create, maintain and archive SOW/OOM/BOMs for assigned projects. Review IQGEO Fiber Path Designs, Official Prints, Permit Submissions and support the maintenance and up keep of redlines to all related systems including ARC GIS. Ensure all constructability issues with design and timelines are reported back to project team. Walk and audit projects in the field to ensure quality is met by our sub-contractors. Identify and schedule various subcontractors/internal crews required for the project build. Receive and review sub-contractor quotes, change orders, and invoices. Work with Project Controls in the issuance of sub-contractor Purchase Orders and payment of sub-contractor invoices. Ensure all pass-through costs are accounted for and billed by working with back office teams. Provide coordination as needed with all utility companies, OEMs, tenants, and federal, state, and local municipal requirements including construction permit/inspection requirements, notifications, access, punch lists, and close-outs. Monitor all hourly internal and external work being billed to ensure legitimate billing. Participate in pre-construction meetings to clarify the safety, quality, scope, schedule and closeout requirements for internal. Monitor safety, quality, and schedule during the course of construction. Ensure all closeout requirements are being delivered as real-time as possible and within the natural cadence of the project and manage the handoff back to the customer to release payment. Other duties as assigned.
