Local Kirkland certified public accounting firm seeking a highly motivated tax/accounting professional to join our knowledgeable, energetic, client-oriented team. We specialize in consulting, tax, and accounting work with a strong focus on medical and dental practices. Successful candidates will have 5 years or more of public accounting and broad federal income tax experience, with an emphasis on closely held pass through entity returns and related personal returns. CPA license is required. Small business accounting proficiency, including QuickBooks and general ledger accounting are essential, as well as strong organizational, client contact/service, and interpersonal communication skills. (Our office is closed on Fridays during the summer months.) Duties may include: • Federal Income Tax return preparation (business and individual) • Tax planning and research tailored to clients’ needs • Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations in QuickBooks (desktop and online) • Post journal entries • Prepare and file city and state B&O returns • Reviewing general ledger for accurate coding • Onboarding new clients • Manage client engagements by ensuring the quality, timeliness and efficient performance of services • Client communication and consulting related to business management, cash flow management, and tax matters in a timely and responsive manner • Other tasks as work flow requires Qualifications: • Minimum five years of experience in a public accounting firm required • Recent and relevant tax return preparation experience preferred (CCH Axcess Tax experience is a plus) • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and general ledger accounting • Experience preparing 1099s and B&O returns required • Strong accounting and analytical skills • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills are a must • Position requires you to be detail oriented, organized, and the ability to multi-task • Should be a self-starter who is able to work independently and collaboratively on assigned tasks Job Type: Full-time Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Health savings account • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance License/Certification: • CPA license (Required) Work Location: Remote
